Liquid Shard

This is a public art installation by Patrick Shearn. I was first put up on July 28, 2016 and then taken down on August 11 that same year. The most impressive aspect of this piece is its movement. Considering its scale it is impressive how the artist was able to make the art piece move. The movement is supposedly based on the wind and weather conditions.

This project was a collaboration between 12 students who attended the Architectural Association Visiting School. The students came from various backgrounds all across the globe. I wished that I had the opportunity to see this installation in public. The movement is truly mesmerizing.
