I don’t usually fly Delta, so when I flew Delta flights both ways for this Thanksgiving break, I was surprised to find they had done away with their older safety videos starring actors (and the iconic finger-wagging stewardess) and replaced the video with an animated one. The animation used the artistic style implemented in the traditional safety cards with updates in the appearances of the characters for better inclusivity. This video was reminiscent of our project 1.2, in which we were tasked to create an infographic and iconography in the style of IKEA. Also watching the video, I began to notice how keyframing could work to make certain aspects of the animation.
