Endangered Species By Pixel

Continuing a project that began in 2008, an Imgur user dubbed JJSmooth44 used updated endangered species data to visually represent the number of animals left in a given species by number of pixels. The fewer the number of pixels, the less animals in that species currently exist. It’s pretty incredible how a simple distortion of images can convey a really clear message on how endangered certain species are relative to others.
