EXPO Roof, Hannover

During my statics class, my professor showed us a structure that was made completely out of wood. This structure was an engineering feat because of how large it is and its construction method. It was build for the EXPO 2000 event held in Hannover, Germany. For the most part, during that time any building that was taller than 3 stories were supposed to be made out of steel, but this was one of the first wooden structures to be over 3 stories tall. It stands more than 24 meters tall and spans an area of 1,600 square meters.
