Photography and Memory

This collection of images from the Philadelphia Museum of Art specifically draws on photography’s ability to reference memory. I think it is interesting how the knowledge of a common theme can evoke different meanings from the photographs, whereas if i saw them separately I wouldn’t necessarily connect them with a memory. This is a principle that can be applied in thoughtful design.
