Metal smith Heidi Hooper of Strasburg, PA, makes 2-d works from dryer lint in varying colors. Started as a motivational project for herself after being diagnosed with cancer, Hooper starts with a sketch and then layers the dryer lint on top; each work takes roughly 3 months to create. She now receives regular submissions in the mail of dryer lint packages to use in her master-pieces.
